Adding my volume to the resume file with RESUME=/dev/mapper/ubuntu-swap doesn't
work.
Something to add to my story, /etc/initramfs-tools/conf.d/resume did not exist

incorrectly and remaining on after cURL exits.

Same here. Lenovo T460s (Intel only). Cannot use HDMI to Display Port.
HDMI to VGA works though on the same port!! The below is with HDMI->VGA.
With HDMI->DP it just doesn't recognise the display.

A partial workaround which doesn't completely fix the issue but improves
things is the following:
Adding to /etc/pulse/default.pa, use_ucm=0 tsched=0 right after module-
udev-detect
and /etc/pulse/daemon
resample-method = src-sinc-best-quality
default-sample-format = s16le
default-fragment-size-
Part of the mystery is solved and part not.
SOLVED:
The problem was that journal entries were not being stored on disk and
journalctl was not showing entries from memory.
The default Ubuntu config has settings
Storage=auto
SplitMode=uid
Also, the directory /var/log/journal does not exist by d
