The first problem I can see is that this machine is using the 'intel'
graphics driver for the Intel GPU. That's a mistake as it's an old
driver. The Intel GPU should be using the 'modeset' driver. Please

It says that your ldap database cannot be opened... There is a debconf
option that says:
"Do you want the database to be removed when slapd is purged?"
I wonder if you had that enabled before the upgrade.
During slapd upgrade, it asks to create a backup of /var/lib/slapd:

This is now fixed in Qt 5.14 packages in groovy-proposed. Unfortunately,
this will not be fixed in Ubuntu 20.04 LTS (focal) because it does not
meet the Stable Release Update criteria.
If you want to use this API in focal, I suggest you to use locally built
Qt or create a PPA.

I did tests with both Hplip installed as .snap and command line and from
upstream site.

Seems that some of the general AppArmor rules needs to get updated.
Access to /proc/sys/kernel/random/boot_id seems to be needed now.
