dist-upgrade to 5.3.0-53-generic. After the upgrade I lost X in non-
recovery mode. In recovery mode I get a GUI at 800x600. 800x600 leaves a
#63 + #65 combination worked for me on
HP 830 G6, Ubuntu 20.04 .

Before submitting this bugreport I've went through the daemon.conf man page and
the pulseaudio documentation, but have not found a solution to my problem.
I've moved from Debian stable with
pulseaudio version 12.2-4+deb10u1 to Kubuntu 20.04 with
pulseaudio version 13.99.1-1ub
Another problem is that while showing this prompt, you can't log in via
SSH. If you leave your upgrade unattended and lose the connection to
your server, you won't be able to log in via SSH again to
complete/continue the upgrade.

Had a similar problem with Lenovo S740 (Ubuntu 18.04, 19.10 and 20.04).
Tried different combinations in alsa-base.conf, hda-jack-retask -
nothing worked.
