After a fresh reboot and login the mouse cursor appears twice:
there is the "real" cursor moving and working and there is another one
that is fixed (not moving) but visible on the screen. This is after each
reboot.

As a workaround, I placed the following script in
/etc/NetworkManager/dispatcher.d/02-vpnupdown location. It will restart
systemd-resolved service everytime you bring up a vpn connection
allowing to use as current dns the one provided by the vpn. I tried to
send a SIGRTMIN+1 signal to
note that there's a difference of "atomics" in /proc/cpuinfo features
between a1 instances and m6g instances.

The fixrtc script is failing with message:

when calling the date command. It looks like it does not like the
leading spaces for the input date. The date is taken from 'dumpe2fs -h'

First, do not use virtual machine. They often make the things more complex to

When I plug in the headphones (with 3 pins no-mic or 4 pins with mic) it
switches the Input to "Microphone (plugged-in)" and strangely enough
there is no sound at all on the headphones.

I reverted to 5.4.0-29-generic from 5.4.0-31-generic and now sound and
mic work ok.
Something in 5.4.0-31 which is the latest upgrade for Ubuntu 20.04,
breaks stuff.
I can confirm that with all kernel versions shipped with Ubuntu 20.04 up
to 5.4.0-29 but excluding 5.4.0-31, sound and mic work
I tested this Gemalto under VMWAre Workstation on Windows VM and Client
App see the Reader and then Smart Card Info. So there is something
incorrect on the ActivKey support in pcscd?
