My Xubuntu 20.10 instsallation has No Sound (Dummy Output) unless I
reinstall pulseaudio after every reboot.
pulseaudio does survive a suspend. Just a hard reset or power cycle
causes it to fail.

The above steps about removing snd_rn_pci_acp3x didn't work consistently
for me, but one thing that *has* (albeit a pain) is to boot with
snd_hda_intel blacklisted in /etc/modprobe.d/blacklist.conf and then
when I'm logged in, comment out that line and load it with modprobe.

I also has this issue of losing audio and having to reinstall pulseaudio
to get it back to work. The latest pulseaudio update

Ok, checking the recent tests it seems that vorlon and juliank are on it
already.
So I can hold back (to not make things more confusing) and let them handle it.
