I've just made a new blank VM, downloaded a fresh copy of the Ubuntu
MATE 20.04.3 amd64 ISO... and installed it (the only choices I made of
note were.. picking a Minimal install with 3rd party
firmware/codecs/etc..)

18.04.14.7 regression: no alt_shift_toggle in XKBOPTIONS
Similar to #4 I am using the Rodecaster pro for the XLR mic input as
this works fine. I connected a 3.5 mm TRS male to male cable from my
Dell Latitude's output (which outputs audio just fine) and connected it
to the mobile phone input on the rodecaster pro. That way I can still
use the headphone
The issue is still there in today's Ubuntu MATE 22.04 daily built.
Greeks cannot even type their names in the installer (ubiquity)...
