as a patch in 2017 (bug 1702794) at the request of Will Cooke but I

pcscd was working fine with no extra manual operation.
This time I used a real laptop and not a virtual machine. But that should not
have an effect.

I'm still troubleshooting this, but at the moment apps negotiating a
DIGEST-MD5 authentication and requesting some form of transport
encryption (ssf != 0) are crashing. The only example I have so far is
the openldap client tools (so just one app really).

Maybe this is an interesting contribution.
If you use dconf-editor and find the "window-size" option for
