Same here: upgraded to Ubuntu 16.04 from 14.04. Keyboard does not work
after soft reboot. After a hard reboot/power cycle, must use recovery
boot option.
As per information in this thread, I checked /etc/initramfs-
tools/modules - it contains only #comments.
Using nvidia driver 367.35.
