Old Fresh Install
Using Wallch set to auto start and pic of the day
Ocassionally the display shows pic only as a portion with bottom portion
grey-out as shown in attached.
Sometime the greyed out portion occupies 80% of the screen always from the
bottom up.
Shutdown via term.
Current,as described before with 14.04 LTS updated every day. and a few
reboots from stopped machine.
Mentioned on 2015-09-25 that I had to install 14.04. on and no problem since.
It is or something similar is happening again.
sudo shutdown 3 min. brings me to

but I come back a few minutes later and power on light is illuminated.
-pushing it brings a 10
Had a system problem

Sorry I couldn't see how to edit this on line. Info is: I've updated to
14.04LTS and on another machine now;
All surveys of this type work fine and I'm no longer troubled.

in answer to : Where did you get the DCP-8065DN ppd? I just choose the
driver from the CUPS menu during the install process by trial and error with
lots of others because the offered/recommended 7045 driver did not work.
I don't know how to direct or answer you further.

Sorry I don't know how to remove the patch.
I had attached that screenshot because it was a fix for me. and has been with
two different machines.
The problem is genuine and valid.

The printer was found and correctly identified as DCP-7065DN
However the list of drivers offered did not include this and recommended
driver DCP-7045N which did not work.
