I have stopped the logs from filling up fast by purge resolvconf and
reinstalling it
# service network-manager stop
# dpkg --force-all --purge resolvconf
# apt-get install resolvconf
# service network-manager start
[REBOOT REQUIRED HERE]

this bug was filling up syslog at a rate of 1MB per Second this could
fill up a disk really quickly
hence the URGENT label
