Wrong keyboard shortcuts for Workspaces in
Just so I'm clear, the symptoms are that unity-panel service is not
running (the contents of the black bar on the top of the screen) and

The two consecutive test results sound like the desktop shell is being
restarted after the first attempt fails.
Compiz requires hardware 3D acceleration (GPU) to be available through
the X11 server. The X11 server does not require hardware 3D
acceleration to run, which explains why the X server
