I too, would like a touch-friendly refresh option. I totally failed to
discover the select address bar then refresh option having looked for a
button both left and right of the address bar and stared at the menu
options several seconds in disbelief at not findung it there.

The pull down from top suggested by Luis would suit me but perhaps a
'more Ubuntu' (and more discoverable) way would be the widget at the
bottom of the screen such as the Ask Ubuntu app has?
