EDIT: Do not do the above. The package is obsolete.
Use fuser -a /etc/services then use ps , replace with the process ID
that comes up in fuser:
Example:
root@web2:~# fuser -a /etc/services
/etc/services: 4567
root@web2:~# ps 4567
PID TTYSTATTIME COMMAND
4567 tty1 Ss 0:01
It seems that the file has been locked during the upgrade and the
process has not unlocked it for use. Also do apt-get install lslk and
use lslk /etc/services to see what processes have locked the file.

Sorry that you only just got attention to this problem. Did you type
anything before the choice entry because sometimes I type accidentally a
character before the choice entry and I type 'y' in and press Enter and
it says Abort.' But I realise that I accidentally type a character
before.

I'm afraid you it's not very useful if you don't specify what type of
bug it is or how it happens. Please give more detail in your report so I

Here's my problem:
Sometimes the download speed is something impossible like 3000 PB/s (3 thousand

download's actually going to take.
I'm in Ubuntu 14.04.1 LTS
I'm using apt version 1.0.1ubuntu2.4.1
