I have a lot of problems in my laptop with ubuntu 14.04.3 LTS and 15.10 too.
Actually Libre Office Writter doesn't work.
Sometimes it depends when i put in on my laptop appairs ACPI PCC Probe failed
and sometimes say don't find hard disk
sometimes thunderbird fails

Before Ubuntu 14.04.3 i try to install 15.10, debian 8.2, and crunchbang
too, similar fails, with crunchbang last version other problems (all of
them i386).
Today i decide to installa ubuntu 14.04.3 (x64) and all works very fine.
One month trying to fix a linux distribution after a hardware prob
Last day, the day i installed Ubuntu 14.04.3 i was working many hours, laptop
not off, i had to force to off.
Today doesn't work thunderbird correctly, no save current message and no send
it. Libre Office no open.
I restart laptop and no open Ubuntu, black screen, force to off and start again.

i can run well with ubuntu 14.04.3 LTS in my laptop yett, i am
desperatted. Any idea??
