Public bug reported: after the update on 21/9/19 of pulseaudio to 1:8.0-0ubuntu3.10 I get no sound and when killing the demon it restarts with the following error - [pulseaudio] main.c: pa_pid_file_create() failed. Reboot does not restore sound. ProblemType: Bug DistroRelease: Ubuntu 16.04

Hi, I also appear to have this bug. Does not materially impact boot time as is only involves the EFI system partition but it is a pain as when I switch to any virtual terminal I see that boot message but do not get a cmd prompt. Clean install of 16.04 on an Intel NUC with ssd drive. -- You
