Hi ArnauC,
i already have enabled the Intel Smart Sound, but the noise is still
there, although somewhat better. Did this COMPLETELY solve the problem
for you?

i dont know if it helps but i have managed to get sound using opensuse
leap 42.1 with the exact same workaround, but also had these terrible
sound shutting down/restarting or starting ubuntu/opensuse. i can even
make a video to show when the sounds will appear, but i will highly
doubt that they wi

before i saw this bug thread i found another (

realized you only need to add two lines to the config:
options snd-hda-intel single_cmd=1
options snd-hda-intel probe_mask=1
with these lines a was able to get sound, bu
i have the exact same problems using my hp probook 440 g3, which has
obviously quite the same or similar sound card. i just reinstalled
windows, because i am worried by the sound that my speakers do while
