Just tested mount and umount as normal user (not su) for my Synology
Diskstation NFS shares, and IT WORKED FLAWLESSLY.
Thank tou for the tip, Erik! I'm actually using 2.25-8ubuntu1~trusty2 from PPA
hosted on https://launchpad.net/~flexiondotorg/+archive/ubuntu/util-linux.
There's a philosophycal
Well, I tried to download and build util-linux 2.25 from kernel.org, and messed
up the mount/ umount with error messages like:
mount: /lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libmount.so.1: version `MOUNT_2.25' not found
(required by mount)
mount: /lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libmount.so.1: version `MOUNT_2.23' not found
This problem has been actually solved upstream: upgrading to util-
linux-2.25 has solved the issue. I have used the ppa:flexiondotorg/util-
linux repo to do so.
