Public bug reported: I have noticed several people reporting https://bugs.launchpad.net /ubuntu-clock-app/+bug/1233986 against the clock app since the system time set by default is UTC while the clock app shows the correct user location. Thereby if the user location shown by the clock app is Paris while the clock app time shown is UTC it creates a conflicting and confusing situation.
I understand that the clock app needs to fix it on its end to ensure that if there is discrepancy between the time shown and the user location then a dialog informing the user to correct the system time be shown. But nonetheless this issue wouldn't be present if the welcome wizard shows the timezone page where the user can set the correct system time in the first place. ** Affects: unity8 (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Description changed: I have noticed several people reporting https://bugs.launchpad.net /ubuntu-clock-app/+bug/1233986 against the clock app since the system time set by default is UTC while the clock app shows the correct user location.
