Hi, I use ubuntu 16.04 and I have the same problem. The bluetooth is
disconnected and when I try to connect it manually I can not.

Same for me with Microsoft Sculpt Comfort mouse on different machines
with Ubuntu 16.04/10. Mouse keeps disconnection every few minutes and
the reconnects again. No visible issue in logs, just info about
reconnection.

I can confirm this is also a problem in Vivid. I'm not using the same
mouse but symptoms are pretty much the same(except the BT icon doesn't
always disappear) . I've updated the kernel to 3.19.2 (for other reasons
- HDMI audio was broken) but that didn't help the bluetooth issue (I'm
assuming it's

I just noticed that I can do this instead of rebooting to work around the issue:
sudo hciconfig hci0 down
