Hi there.
I think, if I recall correctly, that this was something I did manually a
long time ago under a previous Ubuntu version when Mark was the only
user on the system. I did it to avoid having to type in a password when
I turn the PC on. I can´t remember where I read about changing this
the part we don't is: why "Mark" is added to nopasswdlogin group in the
first place.

Perfect, the login now works as expected.
I did try changing the password and removing and recreating the password
on the "mark" account from the user accounts dialogue box before posting
the bug but it made no difference.
