When starting from the live iso the fonts flicker and some are missing. When
mousing over them they return but then they disappear as soon as you remove the
mouse from the top of them.
After installing

terminal as it will automatically gather and attach updated debug
information to this report:
apport-collect -p xorg 1501658
Please ensure you have the package xdiagnose installed, and that you
click the Yes button for attaching

Ok, I tried the latest Ubuntu Mate ISO from oct 02/2015
Same problem in live mode... tweaked some settings (rgb, vrgb, etc... ) VRGB is
better but not perfect at all...
Installed to SSD and boot, fonts still messed, installed Intel microde,
rebooted and problem persisted. Another reboot,
This issue affects Ubuntu MATE, Xubuntu and Kubuntu. Stock Ubuntu has
not been tested.

Brett, Sergio can you please do anything test. Install Ubuntu MATE 15.10
daily, install the Intel microcode but retain the Open Source nouveau
driver. Does the problem persist with that configuration?
