nimu, what will be most helpful is if you returned your packages to the ones from the Ubuntu repositories (i.e. remove the PPA packages), then added the PPA, then updated one package at a time from that PPA to find out which package precisely is the one that addressed this issue. -- You received

penalvch, thank you for your help. I don't want to risk a BIOS update for now, so I cannot tell you if the bug is somehow BIOS-related. Instead, I have decided to try an update of my graphics drivers using this repo: ppa:oibaf/graphics-drivers This "fixes" the crash problem. So, while it may

nimu, thank you for reporting this and helping make Ubuntu better. As per http://support.ts.fujitsu.com/Download/ShowFiles.asp an update to your computer's buggy and outdated BIOS is available (2.09). If you update to this following https://help.ubuntu.com/community/BIOSUpdate does it change
