Public bug reported: Per product management, the Phone and Messaging apps should not be available on the Freiza build.
We can accomplish this in a few steps tbd 1 - do not show them in the launcher or the top favorites section 2 - do not show them anywhere including the app scope 3 - remove them from the image entirely, although messaging will be interesting at some future time (this probably requires a move from rootfs to custom tarball) or 4 - make their appearance conditional based on device capabilities ** Affects: canonical-devices-system-image Importance: High Status: New ** Affects: canonical-pocket-desktop Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Affects: unity8 (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Also affects: canonical-devices-system-image Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Also affects: canonical-pocket-desktop Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Changed in: canonical-devices-system-image Milestone: None => ww04-2016 ** Changed in: canonical-devices-system-image Importance: Undecided => High -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Touch seeded packages, which is subscribed to unity8 in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1536665 Title: Remove Phone and Messaging apps from favorites Status in Canonical System Image: New Status in canonical-pocket-desktop: New Status in unity8 package in Ubuntu: New Bug description: Per product management, the Phone and Messaging apps should not be available on the Freiza build.
