This might be unique to xeyes as I was able to determine the process id
of gedit and terminator using xprop. This seems more like a bug in
xprop than apport.

** Also affects: x11-utils (Ubuntu)
   Importance: Undecided
       Status: New

Title:
ubuntu-bug -w then click on xeyes fails to report a bug

Status in apport package in Ubuntu:

Status in x11-utils package in Ubuntu:

Bug description:
To reproduce run xeyes then run ubuntu-bug -w and close the popup telling you
to click on a window. Then click on xeyes. I get an error message from apport
saying xprop failed to determine the process id of the window.

  Release: 16.04

xprop seemingly gives a lot of output from xprop but this fails when trying
to report a bug on it from apport. Instead I get xprop failed to get the
process id from the window and this output seems to succeed when I just run
xprop on xeyes and get this output from xprop.
the output from xprop on xeyes is.
