[Tracker] Does the index data format change between releases?

Hi, I often have to delete the index after upgrading Tracker in order to get nice results etc. This prompts me to wonder if the data format is changed continuously during development or not. If so, is there a plan to get it stabilise it so one doesn't have to re-index the filesystem between upgrad
