Are such hacks really necessary? I mean, you can easily query
trackerd's status

Looking at avahi-daemon's source led to setproctitle.c which is LGPLv2.1.

I coded an ajax front end for tracker using pylons and the dbus
bindings. Would anyone be interested in taking this as a
contribution? Would I simply need to attach the code to a ticket?
Right now it handles displaying and paging through the results. You
can also filter by category by clic

While I was using firefox, gdm is restarted. So I look system monitor and I
see that trackerd was using 70% of cpu. I think that trackerd is the problem
of the gdm's restart.
