[Tracker] pausing/throttling/etc trackerd from command line?

ahoy all, have been looking at various tracker-utils and associated man pages/FAQS/forums/etc, trying to find a way to control/pause/throttle/etc the trackerd from the command line (i.e. from a script). can someone point me in the right direction or at least let me know if it is possible? th
