Thanks, Ivan. I found a solution with a batch conversion macro for
OpenOffice.org which will create .odt files from .rtf files in a

Hi. I'm using tracker 0.6.3. I find that when I search on a word
contained in an rtf file, it does not get found. If I save the rtf as
odt or txt, the search finds it. rtf files do get found if the search
term is in the name of the file.
Is this expected behavior?
Thanks,

Ah, yes. The desperate mind sometimes lets one down. :-)

One last try before I quit trying to compile.
The headers for libart_lpgl and libgnomevfs are in /usr/include. They
are not getting found when tracker-search-tool is being compiled; so
that portion (and maybe others) of tracker are not producing an object
or executable.
Does anyone have an idea

Is there a problem with this file being in this directory? Is it
expected to be somewhere else. Probably the same thing is true of the

Compiling 0.6.4 I got down to where it said it required sqlite3 vs. 3.4
and I could set the flags to avoid the problem that I only have 3.3. I
modified configure to request 3.3. I t

That's good news. In fact, I downloaded the latest source this morning
to do just that. After about the 5th thing I needed to install, I think
it was Pango, there was another thing

I have an image that has a comment "Joanne" in the exif. When I search
on Joanne with the setting for All Files, the image shows up in the
search report. When I select "Images" the image does not show up in the
search report.
