I have downloaded the source and type make. It tells me that it does not
know the type. I type make i386, and it gets an error.

Is there any suggested way to install kde and remove gnome completely
(because gnome has a lot of gtk dependent apps which are not very
nice-looking in kde) ? Is it enough to remove trisquel-desktop package and
install kubuntu-desktop or it will cause a dependency mess?
I would consider that a very bad idea. I always use a setup with 6 desktops
and use them in s systematic way.
That's strange. It just plain ought to be working.
I'm under the impression that a majority of users never use the
desktop-switching feature much. Let's do away with it entirely.
Simply say the license that your work is under (or whatever license, GPL or
whichever). It's not any more complicated than that. :)
