DDG requires some more work on users side, but 90% of the time I can find my stuff without going to google. Sometimes it does take a bit longer though. What really rocks about DDG is the design. It doesn't load a whole new page to show more search results, but just loads some more results into

@claudio Try to run a launcher like gmrun or similar (alt+F2) and type "nm-applet". This will run the network-manager applet and you'll turn on the wifi (or lan).

Your wireless card probably requires non-free firmware to work. If that's the case, it won't work in Trisquel.

If you are going to use a piece of hardware (like your wireless card) that is dependent on non-free software you are missing the point of Trisquel. Using Trisquel with non-free software is like polluting an environmental sanctuary. As someone else pointed out you can get cards very cheap too
