DDG requires some more work on users side, but 90% of the time I can find my
stuff without going to google. Sometimes it does take a bit longer though.
What really rocks about DDG is the design. It doesn't load a whole new page
to show more search results, but just loads some more results into

As you may know Ubuntu 11.04 archives are compatible with Trisquel 5
(Trisquel being based on Ubuntu 11.04).

@claudio Try to run a launcher like gmrun or similar (alt+F2) and type
"nm-applet". This will run the network-manager applet and you'll turn on the
wifi (or lan).
I downloaded the Trisquel 5.5 iso(from March 6) and then installed
"gnome-session"(package with gnome-shell and other dependencies).
It worked perfectly on my hardware (Intel Core i3, 4GB DDR3 RAM) and 1080p
videos on Youtube HTML5.

Your wireless card probably requires non-free firmware to work. If that's
the case, it won't work in Trisquel.

If you are going to use a piece of hardware (like your wireless card) that is
dependent on non-free software you are missing the point of Trisquel. Using
Trisquel with non-free software is like polluting an environmental sanctuary.
As someone else pointed out you can get cards very cheap too
They have Ubuntu repositories at http://wiki.mate-desktop.org/download if you
are curious. I believe they are trying to keep MATE up to date and fixes
issues as they arise so maybe it shouldn't be in the Trisquel repos yet.
If Ruben can get Trisquel 5.5 with fallback to look as close to the G
