At the time of writing I did not have the card, I have now ordered it online
and should have it sometime soon. I'll post if it works on Trisquel when I
get it, just for the sake of it.
I should have done that, didn't think of that.
A friend who uses Ubuntu and is quite proficient with GNU/Linux and a
programmer as well, told me Unity was proprietary. So I never looked it up,
now I see it's under the GPL. I was absolutely sure that Unity is
proprietary.
I think the next lts should have fallback as default, with unity 2d,
unity 3d, and shell available. Maybe the installer can be made such
that it offers to install these other desktops and set one as default
for the installed system and user?

In my hp probook , trisquel 5.0 gives a battery life of 4:30 hours. But when
I installed trisquel 5.5 it only gives maximum of 3 hours. How can I reduce
battery consumption in 5.5?
Also brightness resets into maximum after every reboot. What should I do?
the kernels from 10.10-11.10 have a problem with power consumption, with
10.10 it's hardly noticeable but the problem has increased over a couple new
releases. However, Ubuntu 12.04 has a patched kernel that vastly improves
power consumption, and I believe the next Trisquel should also
Before removing gnome components, be sure you disable the accessibility.
If you don't want the login greeter to use orca, you can change this
by hitting 'alt+ctrl+tab' while on the login screen. Turn off the
accessibility here, as well as on your desktop, after logging in. You
can
If it's a kernel thing you can pick new versions here
http://www.fsfla.org/~lxoliva/fsfla/linux-libre/releases/
You can try using the powertop command (from powertop package) to see what's
using power. How well it works depends on your hardware.
Can you modify the brightness with software?
If the problem was recently fixed in the kernel (and I believe it was), you
can choose to install its later versions on Trisquel 5.5 Brigantia. Thanks to
this repository, this is very easy.
Have you checked what is enabled in the Accessibility section of the
System Preferences?
I can not open Accessibility ,because when i try to alt + ctrl + tab only i
can choose login screen and other tab.
Whats the story with Android anyway? Is it free software, if not is there a
free software alternative for Android smartphones?
Theres some possible help here on the Mint forum you might find useful.
There's links to some articles on the Ubuntu forums and help section:

I just removed 5.5 and installed 5.0. Now problem is solved. I think i should
wait for 6.0 LTS.
And it would be better if anybody suggest trisquel team to have a software
for changing proxy in 6.0 LTS. 5.5 donot include it..

Unfortunately the utility to change proxy settings within GNOME 3 was
only introduced at a later stage.
This page explains it well.
Actually there are other aspects concerning freeness of Android. For
example, even if you replace the OS by a free one it isn't enough if the
modem can be used to spy on you (e.g. if the modem can turn on the microphone
or GPS without the user's approval). Here one can see a comparison of
I think in general paypal is not a terribly loved solution. I don't have a

Just a description of what you can do, time, any limitations, etc. read the
