It's pretty easy to get a Freerunner. I got a non buzz-fixed one from
OpenMobil.eu (see the Openmoko distributors page:
http://wiki.openmoko.org/wiki/Distributors) and you should also be able to
get a second hand one if you post on the mailing list or visit the irc room.

You only take care of the partitioning if you select a custom partitioning
scheme.
Ubi-partman crashed, so there was no opportunity to select a partitioning
scheme.
Could you rerun the installer from the terminal? There may appear a message
that could help in identifying the issue.
Can you log in a real terminal? To do so, press Ctrl+Alt+F1, enter you user
name and your password. From there you can try to fix things with commands
like 'sudo dpkg --configure -a' or 'sudo apt-get -f install'.
Of course, now I cannot replicate the issue.

I logged in a real time,I was asked to enter a sudo password ,I tried the two
commands but the response was command not found
If those commands really are not found, it is a far more serious problem
than not being able to log in the graphical desktop. Nevertheless, I believe
you simply mistyped the command (probably forgetting spaces). Here are again,
the two commands with more spaces than necessary:
