Shit just got real bro:

From http://bitcoin.org/
"The software is a community-driven open source project, released under the
MIT license."
Also:

GNU uses the term "X11 license" instead of "MIT license", but it is listed as
free. :)
I had no problems installing VLC and playing patented codecs such as MP3, all
using free software. :)
I'm also running Gnome Shell - it was very easy to install:
sudo apt-get install gnome-shell gnome-session
Of course not everybody has 3D acceleration which is the main problem with

I'm running Trisquel 5.5 (Brigantia) for a little more than a week now and
everything works just great. One thing that bothered me, though, was that
the icons that show up when I press the volume up, volume down or mute key,
look very ugly. (I know that this in no Trisquel specific problem.
This is a terrible article. It's got factual inaccuracies: "FSF accepts LGPL

I'm glad you're impressed with Trisquel, it looks like it's becoming a bit of
a trend.
I also think you didn't quite get my question, I am concerned about the
bitcoin (wallet) software that claims to be "open source" (MIT).
Happy hacking.
I think you might have replied to the wrong post. There shouldn't be any
reason a person wanting to use bitcoins should have a problem doing so on
Trisquel.
:)
I am very impressed with Trisquel. It's clean, and pretty polished. If
you're unhappy with it, do something about it. Collaborate to make it
better, or use something else. Best of luck to you.

We should end this or start a new topic... but I'm pretty sure that Fedora is
not removing pointers to non-free software such as those that are in Firefox.
How I said before, I love Triquel and I use it. But the problem is: I like
GNOME 3 too much and I don't like the recent Ubuntu changes(and Trisquel is
based in this).
Ubuntu make the your "own GNOME" with many changes.
Example: Trisquel 5.5 don't have Totem 3.2, GDM 3.2 and others new

Hello, I'm interested in buying some bitcoins but I'm unsure what
applications should I trust for my wallet.
If some of you already use this I would appreciate some tips.
