Hello,
Thanks for your answer but it didn't solve the problem.
Adding this section :
Section "Files"
ModulePath "/usr/lib/xorg/extra-modules"
ModulePath "/usr/lib/xorg/modules"
EndSection
to the xorg.conf doesn't change anything because

I've sent a ton of email in a past life and I'm telling you if you do send
enough email (and not to the same person/place) you'll find some positive
responses (occasionally). If you give up too soon you won't have as much of
an impact.
Trisquel 6 here on VWware. I like what I see so far and will probably do a
hdd install this weekend. Seems smooth and everything working so far. Im
really impressed with such a small install and my dinosaur machine is loving
it.
I don't know about sensors. Trisquel uses nouveau driver for NVIDIA since the
version 5.5.

Thank you for the suggestions about how to boot from a USB stick! I ended up
burning a CD and booting from it, easy and quick (as it should be).

Most PDF documents are not actual forms, i.e., they are not meant to be
filled out from the PDF reader. In this case, a solution is PDFedit (in
Trisquel's repository). I can guarantee you that at least some forms can be
filled out from Evince: I did it several times.
Yes, it is worth a try..although I doubt you will get much response in most
cases. When I mailed several non-government web pages in the german speaking
area in regard to provide free alternatives for watching videos, it was more
like 40% no response at all, 40% "we will see want we can", 10
Have you tried Scribus[1,2] or InkScape[3,4] to edit PDF files?
Both are available in the Trisquel repositories.

I forgot to add. You can make the interface even cleaner by using the
Panel Settings extensions [1]. I used that to hide the toolbar/panel at
the top. So now your desktop is nothing but a wallpaper and the open
applications. If you need to see the time, or search for an application,

What you see in that video is Gnome Shell [1].
Take note that you need 3D acceleration for Gnome Shell to work.
