Hi,
I installed Fluxbox with synaptic and when I log into Fluxbox, I get the

There's an Options button in the keyboard layout section where such things

It may be possible to remotely turn the phone on via the modem. However, if
the modem is actually in an off-state (which is what I'm talking about) it
shouldn't be possible to turn on remotely.
If the modem is on I'd agree with you in that it can access CPU, memory, etc

Hmm... Probably I see the problem. The Radeon video card. You can search here

I believe this is the computer I have, but there may be minor differences:

We can all just use a "regular" (web-based and free of charge) e-mail box for

Well Fernando, we should try to setup an email service in some remote island,

Your knowledge is a bit dated. E911 has been mandated for a number of years.
Your location can be pinpointed with far greater accuracy, usually to within
a few feet.
What's wrong with the Enigmail extension for Thunderbird? Thunderbird is a

I know of at least one modern-day smartphone (that is considered one of the

If my search engine-fu is strong, seems it can't be done. A "design

Perhaps the easiest way would be to try another dm, e.g. lightdm or kdm.
Maybe those would be more sane.

Dunno if it's the official way but you can control touchpad behavior with
synclient. Read the synaptics man page to see how it works.
I'm sure it's possible to disable Caps Lock but don't ask me how. Some custom
keymap or something.
What exactly happens?

Glad to hear you managed to figure it out. Put that insmod in your rc.local.
You can include the setpci command in the resume scripts. Read pm-action
