You can use the Ubuntu ones.
(Namely, the ones that show you how to install Ubuntu through the alternate
CD, depending on which version of Trisquel you're installing, that is.)
Since that, Trisquel is based on Ubuntu and its installation process is
either identical or very (very) similar.
Would anyone know about a video, perhaps on youtube, that demonstrates how to
install and use Trisquel? I am all new to this and need for it to be quite
detailed and explanatory ;) I had a look on youtube, but they all seemed to
be in spanish.
Hope you can help :)
Yes. Most people prefer to believe in what they /want/ to be true, rather
than face the possibility that what sounds /horrible/ might actually /be/ the
truth... And they will, ultimately, pay a price for that. Like many, who have
been caught off-guard by this economic and civilizational Colla
There's also MATE PPAs: http://mate-desktop.org
Transparency also works with Xfce (packages xfce4 and xfce4-goodies) and KDE
Plasma (package triskel).
In GNOME classic, (Trisquel's default) transparency doesn't work very well, I
know that LXDE's does. You can download LXDE with the package trisquel-mini.
Debian's done a lot of great things; I don't think anyone's denying that.
But that doesn't excuse the fact that they still distribute proprietary
software.
I really don't see any broken packages other than mplayer-gui. If I clear the
quick filter field, the broken packages list will become empty. If I unmark
the mplayer-gui package, it will be removed from the list of broken packages.
Maybe you can try to reproduce the problem on your computer.
I don't see how to add Add-ons to that list. Here are a couple more:
* Restartless Restart

license
* Hide Tab Bar With One Tab
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/hide-tab-bar-with-one-tab/ MPL
1.1 li
Weird. I would then try to unmark it.
Don't you have other broken packages? In the screenshot you uploaded, you
wrote something in the "Quick filter" what potentially hides other broken
packages.
I didn't try to install the Pantheon on Trisquel but I know how to make your
system launch the applications as fast as Elementary OS does.
The program is called Preload and I've found a tutorial in how to install it
on Debian based systems:

"Please don't be ridiculous. How can you compare Debian's open source stance
of 20 years with Trisquel's "minor issues" (your words) which are being taken
care of?
YOU CAN'T."
Hmm ok now I got it. You value "the free software stance" above any outcome
in reality.
An organization doesn't do
that is not entirely true, you can add mate to the repos following the Ubuntu
precise instructions:

Perhaps this helps you.
Thanks, mYself. I'm enjoying Rubén's Harvard video at LibrePlanet 2013. All
Trisquel users should watch it. :)

Please is there any way to make the panel fully transparent including the
system notifications?
It is quite interesting, that no one mentioned the official wiki page, that
lists the developers:
