I wonder what the free software community thinks of this device?

If I understand correctly only the wireless firmware is non-free (the
graphics should be supported by a free driver). Not sure about the BIOS
though.
Maybe. However the UK is less than 1/3 the size of the US and the US only has
one event. Europe has two (Germany and France) although the population is a
bit more than twice that of the US too. Overall it seems to me that people in
UK shouldn't have too much of a problem getting to one of the
Ah, thanks for the clarification. I didn't really look into the issue at
all, mainly because I'm not interested in it at all.
IBus is part of Trisquel's default install. However, I do not if the specific
input method you wish is installed (m17n is). You may want to search "ibus"
in the "Synaptic package manager".

Thank you for your reply.
I thought I had already updated everything in the update manager, but when I
looked, I had many more programs that needed updating. After doing that, I
went back to language support and was able to load the Chinese Mandarin
package.
My next question is, how do I
It is not "possibly free": at least the video drivers are proprietary and so
is Steam.
Update:
New "weapon": shackels (can take prisoners)
New maps for vehicle fights (expanse(1mile) and desertofice (8 miles))
Work on nuclear bomb, new buildable buildings, work on building placement
mutator.
Bugfixes for vehicle aiming.
Other misc stuff.
It's a (possibly) free operating system designed to run proprietary software.
What's to like about that?
I do not know how to make it so that trisquel can be seen as linked if
anybody knows please tell me so that I can modify my settings.
Please note I am going to put some links to the gnome extension website it is

OK, the duckduckgo links need to be changed so they look like this:

or something similar I will work on this in the near future.
That way I guess duckduckgo knows that the search came refered from a
trisquel machine?
Not sure.
It'll end up being like Android, the OpenPandora, the Ouya, and other such
things. A mixture of free and proprietary software for the overall purpose of
running proprietary software. Not something I have any respect for.
If they make improvements and release them as free software, that's good

Hi,
links from labels are signed and limited to a maximum number of download;
using UnPlug get me signed as a download, so I can't use it. and so, no VLC

Also, disabling ALL flash can I have on my pc, I get reverbnation and

I've found an antifeature in the soundcloud support of Nightingale. Many
tracks can not be downloaded. I guess adding a generic download feature would
violate the SoundCloud terms of use.
Clementine is not my best player, currently I use Rhythmbox and Nightingale,

Hi there!
Trisquel GNU/Linux consists entirely of free software. Perhaps your adapter
doesn't have a free stack?
Can you can find the relevant entry from lspci? If not, paste the all of it.
If you can't make your adapter work, you can buy a working USB bluetooth from

My idea on this subject is pretty simple. When you get a computer you should
have the "source code" the same way you are expecting it when buying (or
downloading) software. Only this way we can innovate and unify ourselves as
human beings.
But this is not possible at this day because we are
You had better solve the problem. Does the "Update Manager" properly work? If
not, there probably is something wrong with your "Software sources" (the name
of the utility to manage them). Maybe you are using a mirror that is not
functioning (anymore). Can you show us the content of /etc/apt/s
Hello folks,

I'm in Shanghai and attempting to download the mandarin language package

download, it tells me that my internet connection isn't working.
I know I have internet connection, since I'm sending this post etc...
You can use Zotero addon for Abrowser to save web pages for research etc:

Apparently they can bug typewriters too!
That's what they say at the end of the clip.
But at least that feature isn't built-in and easily activated remotely.
Always something.
thank you all!

Have to also add how using technology for mass surveillance is being
reinforced with corporate propaganda.

I to usually buy used CDs and rip them or get music from Jamendo
(http://www.jamendo.com). As far as an audio player, Clementine is by far my
favorite. It has Jamendo, Magnatune, Icecast, Grooveshark, Last.fm, and a
couple of others integrated.
What I usually do is print articles to a PDF to read later. That way if I
don't have net access I can still catch up on reading. Simply just use the
Print to File option in Abrowser.
For bookmarks I use Abrowser's bookmark feature; and for saving pages
for off-line or whatever I use
