Hi guys,
Yes, this is as silly as it sounds.
I want to install Dogecoins on Trisquel and I'm trying to follow the
instructions on reddit:
http://4x.reddit.com/r/dogecoin/comments/1tvmnd/dogecoin_on_linux_the_complete_beginners_guide/
sudo apt-get install libssl-dev libdb-dev libdb++-dev
I just tried out XFCE and loved its customizability. But when I tried to add
Compiz to enable window tiling, I lost all capabilities of a window manager.
I was unable to close or move windows I opened; there were no minimize,
maximize, close buttons on the top corner.
I removed the xfce4
Hello, dunno if this works. :-/
First check whether that new boost library is still free software. If yes,
proceed to install it (from source) to a custom location:
mkdir /home/YOURUSERNAME/newboost/
./configure --prefix=/home/YOURUSERNAME/newboost/
make
make install

Take a look at https://trisquel.info/en/forum/upgrade-xfce#comment-47702 .
Next time you loose minimize, maximize, close, titlebar and edges (window
decorations) you can restart (or start another window manager). For the
window manager that comes with XFCE run:
xfwm4 --replace
I thank ADFENO for the suggestion, I thought it would be a good solution...
but apparently I can't upload my files, the non-flash uploader seems not to
work -.-
I am so getting mad at this by now...
In short, don't.
Look, when you use a plugin or addon, that piece of software might not obey
the proxy settings, or it might gather some identifying information on your
computer that might de-anonymize you. It doesn't matter that it's free
software, free software respects the user, but most
Debian doesn't have proprietary blobs in the kernel anymore. Otherwise other
issues are there.
Okay this makes sense. I think it would be great to have some tor-friendly
free-software video player.
Thanks for the explanation!

Seems to me that there is one thing Debian could do that would be very easy,
and bring it closer to free status (although still not fully there).
It should fork off non-free into a separate project, run by whoever likes it
in Debian now, and it should be hosted on seperate servers. Something
That did not work. I received an error that there was no such source package
or build dependencies for it.
I did actually try the Xorg joystick driver, after reading about it on
ArchWiki. It was working well, too.
But today it just about quit. I was using it to send keys to Xorg, but now it
won't do that anymore. I can't think of anything that may have changed to
cause this.
It's very
