I'm pretty sure any of the free distros can do virtual terminal switching
well.
Hello. What do you think about this?

Concerning my post,
I'm just denouncing what I know, in order for anyone to take any kind of
precautions they want...
And, I'm leaving here this information for, as you say, everyone to worry as
much about this as they want.
Most of all, I want to call everyone's attention to the fact
I think the best combination for you could be ThinkPad X60 w. Trisquel
GNU/Linux, but you can also look at some other choices. On the laptop side,
look for the coreboot supported models, like the Lenovo X201, or some Google
Chromebooks (e.g. the HP Chromebook 14).
As for the GNU/Linux
Debian GNU/Linux, which is completely free, except...
Read http://jxself.org/debian-doubletalk.shtml
It's like saying You get a free gift when you buy...
Nevertheless, you can still use Trisquel and when you need to connect to
Internet use another option.
Thanks so much lembas. I ran this option:
sudo passwd -dl root
I'll exercise more caution in the future and consult the forums before
executing such commands.
Cover the walls, floor, roof, windows and doors with lead.
I don't know what Actual desktop is supposed to mean.
I'd like to see GNOME Shell as the default DE in Trisquel 7.
I can't stand it!!! I love other versions of gnome. The way I see it, Gnome
Shell looks like a mobile or tablet with Google bubble embedded.
As I can see, that would be fatal for Trisquel. There are not many developers
to change and make a Trisquel version running on Mate. Moreover, there will
appear newer bugs to work on as Trisquel is done to get on with Gnome.
It's not something for me to do, its something for the people who own the
copyright to those packages to do surely?
I guess that torify command is good solution for turning all importent
traffic to TOR. For example you can change your ~/.bashrc and add some
aliases such as alias pidgin='torify pidgin' et cetera for all your network
applications )
IIRC, Mate will be brought to the Debian reps in next months/year. So, maybe
by the time Trisquel 7 comes out, it won't involve all that work, one could
just access Debian rep and install it from there (assuming Ubuntu doesn't get
it imported to their own, that would even simplify more the
bad idea as that requires internet connection at the time of install. Not
everyone feels comfortable with this.
However, maybe having different versions available to download would be a
good idea (like Mint and Debian do).
One CD with Gnome 3 other with KDE, other with Mate, etc.
From what I see Mate will be in Ubuntu 14.04 repo.
http://www.omgubuntu.co.uk/2014/01/mate-desktop-ubuntu-1404
,so I see it compatible with Ubuntu from the start.
Actual desktop = Gnome Desktop
Gnome shell ftw. Sorry, but it's just the best (imo).
But there should definitely be the option to switch if people want to do
that.
Please see this page: http://www.gnu.org/licenses/gpl-violation.html
Those wishing the choice of desktop at instsll time can use the Net edition.
What about XFCE for the standard live edition?
Thanks BugRep
CTRL ] gives me the prompt telnet ... I'm not sure what I can do from
here, or how to return to muhammed@trisquel:.
I mailed myself with mail muhammed@trisquel, and it seemed to go well.
When I try and chek my mailbox by entering mail, I get this message:

Ctrl+D to return to shell prompt.
You might not have the mailbox. Execute:
sudo touch /var/mail/muhammed
sudo chown muhammed:mail /var/mail/muhammed

That's the way to solve the problem.
Meanwhile, this is the only option.

In day-to-day English language usage,
No. Googlo is not infinity, it is an unimaginable large number examplified.
Moreover, it is used to teach the difference between infinity and a number
which is so large you can't imagine or write it; that's not infinity.

Yes.
I was talking about the reason for choosing such a term for the company's
name - and, not the exact meaning of the term. Which I said it wasn't that,
exactly - but, that it was chosen to mean something like that.
