It worked! Thx onpon4. Just for the record I used UAControl and User-Agent JS

direction for GNU/Linux, but this shows that it might be exactly the
direction we need.

Thanks Michał. I able to connect to the remote machine now.
I didn't know that it would be this hard to debug a shell script program like
this, and I'm not planning on learning more shell-scripting language, so I am
abandoning this project, probably forever. I am posting my final version
here; anyone should feel free to modify or complete it.

Thanks for the clarification.

You can create a filter rule based on the date, so that the messages previous

As far as I know, all you can do is make another account.

Well, maybe it would be better to just let the emails flood Evolution, then
delete them all? You should be able to select them all pretty quickly (I'm
able to use Ctrl+A in Thunderbird to select all of the mails in my inbox; I'm

By the way, if you want to take a look at the layout by clicking on the
applet (or whatever they call it nowadays) showing the current one (at least
in GNOME Shell's panel but I believe with the default panel too), you need to

I've got two accounts with such a huge number of mails on it (also due to
spam). The last time I moved mails on the provider server it was so time
intensive that I got very tired.
Now I m just looking for this option in the client to download only the
