If I remember well, the hard drive can be master or slave (some jumpers to adjust). I believe GRUB should be on the master drive (otherwise Windows' boot-loader is run). However you may only need to switch the disks in the BIOS' boot order. At least, that is the first thing I would try.

- so, if i install it 3d will work? Yes, but Trisquel is a free distribution which does not support loading non-free firmware. Performancewise AMD / ATI cards with the free radeon drivers are a good option but only if your distribution / kernel supports loading of non-free firmware.

What's wrong or what are you trying to do? You can read the manual page for the driver, it's called sis. man sis
