I've been brainstorming a concept for a new website and have thought about

Enjoy, and contribute if you can.
If you have the time for it, you could also try these:

Press Ctrl + F and type "Computer Science"
If you search for "free online courses", you might find good stuff. Some or
many of them might use nonfree code on their websites, but it's a tradeof
Heh, and with that I am reminded of Mike Linksvayer's [0] comment that "if
you aren’t helping make freedom real and real popular, you hate freedom!"

I am trying to remember (and find on forum) how to do "anonymous geoposition"

writing "geo" : geo.enabled ---> true. Is this one? I am not sure.
And immediately under of "geo.enabled" we have

Exactly what I was saying.

First thing I'd avoid is those using digital restrictions (HP, Dell, Toshiba,

What is this agenda you have against ThinkPenguin? We've sold plenty of

I think he means more that when you buy hardware that makes no effort to
work with free/libre software, companies have no incentive to fix the
problem.
When you say I am contributing to non-free software, do you mean the £30
microsoft got for my windows 8 licsense?
I think the GNU/Linux vs. Linux distinction is a sort of political one. It is
definitely more correct to say GNU/Linux. Here is some history:

Thanks lembas! That link shows that even i can contribute to free software!
Good to know!
Thanks BinaryDigit. What i tried to exemplify is that people in majority dont
know well what is "linux", as i put it purposely exactly this word. The the
few people i have heard they speak as "linux". If they speak "linux" is
because of course they dont know what is Gnu-Linux. And when i try

Why does that matter and how is that relevant?
You can install Trisquel 6.0 in this computer. The big problem in my opinion
is Abrowser (since version 4 from 2011). It's memory hungry.
Trisquel 6.0 32-bit boot with GNOME Fallback 3.4 with 130~150MB of RAM.
64-bit boot with 250MB. The old computer I had was Celeron, worst than your
CPU.

SopCast Player is built for/using SopCast, which is non-free. It's like with
the Skype Call Recorder applet. The applet is free, Skype isn't.
There's a difference between "Linux" and GNU/Linux. The Free Software

should be free to run for any purpose, free to be modified and free to be

Why can't you use MATE? It's forked from GNOME 2 and uses GTK+2. If you want
an older version of compiz, compile it from source.
If you use Slaine, you won't receive any security updates or support on this

You don't need sudo there.

Probably not here either.
I see it is gpl https://code.google.com/p/sopcast-player/
I know what it does. Besides, this does apply to other such packages. I
remember on Debian, I was able to remove Empathy with the keep-all command
(because I preferred pidgin), but I'd rather do something cleaner as I
described above.
alguien@computadora:~$ sudo aptitude show evolution-data
No, it's non-free software.
Do you recommend to install Sopcast?
Free software is truly an amazing gift.
Here are ways to give back to Trisquel https://trisquel.info/en/wiki/how-help
Thanks again Chris!

You may try to install Compiz 0.8 stable and emerald from source code with
this step by step commands. Just copy and paste those commands. I tested with
Mate 1.6 and Mate 1.4 , and Trisquel mini.

Thanks very much! That helped me! :D
As Legimet pointed out, the website uses a CAcert root certificate (you can
read about this on the main page). To import this certificate into Abrowser,
follow the howto here.
