I've been unable to install linux-generic-lts-trusty for a while now:
julian@julian-laptop-QAT10:~$ sudo aptitude install linux-generic-lts-trusty
The following NEW packages will be installed:
linux-generic-lts-trusty linux-headers-generic-lts-trusty{b}
linux-image-generic-lts-trusty{b}

Install the 'dnsmasq' and retry what you have done with NetworkManager (this
tip may be obsolete).
Try 3.13.0-24. For some reason 27 is only available for i386. I installed the
linux-generic-lts-trusty package before, and now I have upgrades that can't
be done, so I just ignore them.
Hi, I'm trying to run Trisquel from a boot disc. It prompts me to enter a
username/password. When I leave blank it fails. What do I need to enter to
log in? Any help appreciated. Thanks
It should actually autostart the graphical session. Anyway, and as far as I
understand, the live user's login is trisquel and the password is blank.
That worked perfectly. Many thanks!
Hi Magic Banana, thank you for posting these links. I have seen these before
- very interesting and informative. But there is still resistance to
Systemd.
Systemd is a good concept but through out the videos the audience are not
entirely convinced.. In the
/etc/default/keyboard is probably a more universal config file, which applies
to tty too. I think GDM reads from it.
I don't get what you are trying to do. The /boot partition is only for
booting, will not modify the system...
If people can find locals who would technically support them with
Trisquel and Free software that would be nice, and support would
generate income for these locals. All the help or professional solutions
provided by these locals should be documented and shared among the other
local gurus.

This might depend on the adapter. If I'm not mistaken this won't work with
some wireless adapters. I believe it should work with pretty much all the
Atheros adapters (PCIe 802.11n at least, and ar9170, and ath9k_htc USB based,
ar9271/ar9280+ar7010), but not ones like RTL8187 (USB G adapter).
The audience member is not a user. He is an Upstart developer. Another init
system that could have replaced the System V init (but now lost against
systemd).
But yes, Lennart Poettering can be rude... and so are many outstanding
programmers (rms, Linus Torvalds, Theo de Raedt, etc.).

I don't know what work experience you have, particularly in a particular
industry, etc, but it might be worthwhile getting some real-world experience
in the industry in which you would like to focus first.
What I would do is figure out a niche you might want to conquer (ideally that

The appeal of non-profits is that they are tax deductible. Sure, a company
(LLC or Corporation) can accept donations, but if you rely solely on those
donations, a non-profit is your best route.
Another option is replacing embedded videos with a link which the LinkTube
Greasemonkey user script does:
You can get it here (it requires Greasemonkey or Scriptish to work):
