I am not sure how to GPL this, so some guidance would be welcome.

Does anyone know how to make LXDE look like this?
Is that Trisquel 7's default appearance? It looks good.
I'll try this out -- thanks Garsmith
I wonder whether the unattractiveness helps with marketing. Maybe the idea
is that potential users will think LXDE is ugly -- and so committed to being
light-weight!
This is true: Newer AMD stuff won't work right without their blobs. This
could cause the userland radeon driver to fail and give up, and then Trisquel
would probably fallback to vesa. I hope that this isn't your case though.
I decided to rip all of my music CDs in a lossless format
But it sounds like you didn't do this? Rather, you converted the
already-ripped files (since you mentioned m4a.)
When run, the script will ask for the format of the old files. For
example, m4a. It will ask for the format of the new
Hi!
I also had problems with the keyboard layouts.
When I installed, I was't able to see which layout I'm using and wasn't able
set a key shortcut for switching between layouts.
After experimenting, I was able to use ibus-setup to fix both issue -
partly. You can start ibus-setup from a
Okay, thanks. I'll take a look at it.
Nope, that is not what I did. Let's say I had previously ripped Song A in m4a
and listened to it ten times. Now, I ripped it again from the CD in flac.
Since it is a new file Rhythmbox creates a new entry in the database. Said
entry has zero plays, as I have not listened to it. What the
Okay, I've followed the guide left by lembas. Attached is the new version.
I noticed that Trisquel 7 uses some software from Gnome 3.6 to keep the
classic layout

Hi Quiliro,
What do you think? Should I report this as a bug? I've never done it
but I think I can figure it out. Without multiple keyboard support, it
becomes very difficult to continue testing Trisquel 7.
Today I tested Trisquel 7. Have
So I have been pondering about the Linux-Libre situation and the issues of
data/driver blobs and it got me thinking.
Would it be possible to run a virtual machine that could run a non-free OS?
Or would the underlying kernel prevent these additional layers from working?
It's as simple as

I installed the 3.16 kernel and then only diference it had was my status bar
showing my memory use in -67%(!). During boot it showed a error saying it was
unable to start KMS because it was disabled by the bios (and I wans't able to
find any information about this). My video is integrated
This has nothing to do with blobs, so of couse it would work.
I know you can choose between many different kernels, when installing using
the 'net install' (at least for Trisquel 6.0).
Cool, conflicting answers. :D
I have noticed that on Trisquel 6, in the hardware tab of sound settings
if I change the profile from analog stereo duplex to analog stereo
output the volume keys of mute,up and down stop working.
