Yes, and I think any sane person, not only you, know it ain't GIMP :)
Try gnome-paint, or gpaint.
Best bet is what you should do with most online services. Use a fake name,
mine most definetly is not John Fish as I have entered. :D
Welcome to the world of Freedom!
Thank you for your answer. I will buy them soon (just time to spare money).
That is another world: vector graphics (à la Inkscape) rather than raster
graphics (à la GIMP).But you are right: that may be what he actually wants.
Installing the YouTube Center extension solved it, but that was a workaround
rather than a proper fix.
Still no security updates...
Just to confirm, I also have had this problem for several weeks.
I have been thinking for a while that it would be nice to have a free/libre,
cross-platform, exact 1:1 replica of XP-era MS Paint. Additional features
(layers, tabs) could be toggled by a setting, but if you turn them off it
would be exactly like MS Paint (except for non-intrusive features
Have you tried KolourPaint or mtPaint?
There's also one called GrafX2.
Hi,
I have a desktop with a 2.80 ghz dual core processor and 3 gigabytes of ram.
I partitioned my harddrive into ~ 45 gigabytes and 30 gigabytes. I put
windows 7 on the 45 gig partition and tried to put Trisquel 6.0 on the 30 gig
partition. I installed Trisquel on a usb drive a while ago
Sounds like a corrupted image to me. I would re-download the Trisquel iso
again from your windows partition and try to reinstall again. You may need
to use a decent usb creator to recreate your image.
Hi salparadise,
Are the groups in Manchester and Birmingham FSFE groups? they certainly are
not in libreplanet wiki that I have seen. Could you send links?
FSFE you can become a fellow. which as far as I can tell is similar to
becoming a member of the fsf. But I am sure you can show up to
This is amazing! Brixtion is not too far. Are you part of the group? would
you like to come over? There is a coderDojo soon and I would like as much
free software as possible.
Thanks for the support. I already meet up with others in the area but most
are not too concerned with free as in freedom software. I am hoping to get
more free software people involved.
I use the non-GNU, but still free as in freedom Pinta for images and Xournal
for pdfs when just simple and quick editing tools are enough.
This is a very clear demonstration on why the terms have to be clarified for
people. Open source being muddled with Free software has actually a lot of
dmamage to the movement.
There are going to be a lot of changes for Trisquel 7, so we should just
wait.

Thank you for telling me about these. I never heard of some of these and want
to try them out. However, they all have some issues. XPaint seems to come
closest to my dream application.
One of the biggest issues is with GNU paint and mtPaint: I am not aware of
any active maintainance of

Hello everyone,
I don't know if you read the news [1] yet, but the GNU hackers presented in
Berlin at the GNU Hackers Meeting, details about another mass surveillance
program called HACIENDA.
They've also came up with a solution [2] to fight this surveillance program.
According to the

That's the link to the Manchester group. Doesn't look like there's much
activity going on though. March of this year seems to be the most recent
thing I can find.
BLAG is still more or less nonfunctional. There are posts calling for action
