The goal is to install Trisquel 7 to a 1TB external SSHD through a USB port.
I managed to set up a 30GB ext3 partition for the root files, 8GB linux-swap,
and 894GB (xfs) for /home with GParted. I also managed to initiate
installation of Trisquel 7 from the live DVD, but the process stalled f
You can get GNOME Shell from Trisquel's default environment by installing the
gnome-session and gnome-shell packages. Choose the "GNOME" session when you
log in, instead of the "Trisquel" session.
For a better experience, you might also want to install and switch to GDM;

I'm thinking of trying gnome-shell on my computer. Do you think the specs
are sufficient? It's a 2.2 ghz Intel Pentium dual core with 2mb cache. I
think that it has a Intel 4000 series (?) graphics card. It has 4 gb of RAM,
I think. Traditional harddrive ... probably 7200 RPM but could b

I have the lines on my conky file for upload and download speed along with
the upload and download amount of data. I download on average 1.5 gb of data
per day. 100 gb seems crazy to me unless you are torrenting like 100 movies
each day..
edit..
I'm using Trisquel from a USB key, so users saved to RAM only. My mistake.
[new to Trisquel]
I'm trying to create a user account, so when I boot the OS [V7.0] I have to
login.
When rebooting after creating the user + password, Trisquel starts normally
[no need for user/password] and the user doesn't show in User Accounts
anymore.

And actually playing it, it's Xonotic with a bunch of extra weapons. It
doesn't look any better or sound any better. Why, again, is the download 4
times as big as Xonotic's?
My god, I had a bad impression of ChaosEsque just from the ridiculous size of
the download, but actually seeing this up close? This has to be the most
confusing mess of a data directory I've ever seen.
