You're welcome- I've been chronically bored lately, so it was nice to have

To your users, yes. Not necessarily to the whole world (although your users
are free to redistribute it).

Hi!
I presume you're using Trisquel 7. If you go into the 'Tweak Tools' section
of the System Settings, and then to the 'Desktop' tab, there should be an
option called Mode, which is probably set to Zoom. Change that to Stretch,
and it should resize the background to fit the screen, albeit
I was under the impression that in order for a game to be libre, you needed

the art or music doesnt take away any freedoms. I have a lot of ex
Hello friends.
I've been trying for a bit, but I'm not having success: how does one fit a
custom image as desktop background?
I try to select an image, but it is always cropped. Tried changing aspect
ratios, etc. But no go. I would like the whole image be fitted to the
desktop.

Well, I don't think "libre software with proprietary culture" is the right
way to go. It makes you have to worry about whether or not the game's "data"
includes software, and it's just not as
Hi again!
Firstly, in regards to the fishing through the zips, I've almost got the
script for that ready- I should have mentioned it, but I wasn't sure if you
were still here. I'll post it as soon as I finish it.
As for your computer woes, they are unfortunately common in switching OSes.
Hi davidpgil!
I'm giving my input here, with the caveat that I'm not a gamer, a developer,
or an artist. Onpon4 is developing a 100% libre game, and will likely be able
to give a more informed opinion.

Hi, everyone. I have experience as a professional video games artist and have
been spending the last several years learning coding and music and have
finally come to a point where I will start creating my game. Something that
comes to mind is making it Libre. I DO want to make significant mon
Keep going Leah, you are great! Libreboot is the critical software that whole
free software community always needed.
Hello again, I installed the unarchiver you mentioned as well as aptitude
since it was recommended to do so with unzip. I was able to extract many word
files from the archive manager into my documents and I'm able to open them in
LibreOffice now. However, it takes a long time to fish through

I found a way on the web: I had to install the -dev version of libfreetype6.
Then I had to install unifont.
Then I had another error, where the first solution was to try make clean,
then try make again. Didn't work, but I'm getting closer!
I'll do it again so I can paste the error here.

Otherwise, these two seem worth trying. Do you really see a lot of
difference? Sometimes, my laptop crashes while streaming (vlc and
Popcorn-Time).
I just bought TP-Link's TL-WN722N which works with Trisquel and Parabola out
of the box.
According to Terminal lsusb:

Yes, the Libreboot website no longer mentions Trisquel at all, even
negatively.
I look forward to the new Trisquel release. While I myself personally use
Debian nowadays for a variety of reasons, and probably will stay that way,
I'm glad that the Trisquel project is still alive and kicking.
I like it, too; using it on two of my boxes. Having trouble getting it to
detect and use USB wifi radio, that's perhaps, worth a call to Think Penguin.
GNOME does not do that. Perhaps it would be possible to implement with an
extension, but I'm not aware of any one like that.
However, GNOME does have a menu on the top bar, but that one typically has
but a few options and must be specially supported by the application. It's
mostly utilized
Unity moves the menubar to the top bar/panel, MacOS style, when a window is
maximized / full screened. Does GNOME 3 do that?
I think it's legitimate to criticize if important updates (especially
security updates) from upstream in Ubunto, Debian, Mozilla etc aren't being
passed down into the Trisquel repos.
But this complaining about Trisquel 8 is not only obnoxious, but also
misleading. Ruben has been coming out

I'm afraid we ain't seen nothing yet. Shuttleworth, I bet, is going
enterprise. He's not interested in the desktop anymore because there's no
profit there and he's tired of losing money.
There's going to be a closed license Ubuntu Enterprise Edition.
Just installed it, been running it a bit and I must say:
If this is the alpha release, the final one is going to be super duper

Thanks to everyone involved !!
