Yeah,it should be restricted not 'secure'. When they say 'security', always

Don't you mean Restricted Boot?
So it's Monday 16. Should I be uncorking a grape juice and rolling up in
preparation to celebrate the release of Flidas? Or has it been decided enough
things need fixing that the release needs to wait a little longer?

The X200 is 10 years old, not 20. The X60 is 12 years old, and it has worked
fine for me both with Upstart on Trisquel 7 and systemd on Trisquel 8. I
haven't tried any other init systems, although I'm thinki
"now is booting as a... UEFI OS?"
Yup. Trisquel 8 should be fully UEFI compatible. Yay! With the exception of
Secure Boot, which requires Microsoft to sign stuff for the project so it can
be trusted. Our fearless leader said on IRC that that's not gonna happen. No
kowtowing to Microsoft.
No, FreeNix is a good idea.
Between the three HDD's, my T420 now has five Trisquel OS's
Don't you want just one?! You can upgrade one Trisquel 7 that is on the
internal hard drive (faster) with 'do-release-upgrade -d' (no need for a
fresh install) and get rid of the remaining systems (not the user data!).

I am mixed up. What is biased? FreeNix? It seems like a good idea...
I have too, Devuan actually booted faster on a 20 year old libreboot laptop.
for me also. (X200)
I am hesitant to say more given the furher has many servants here at this
point.
I would prefer not to start another thread war over this, but yeah, I highly
doubt its worth it.
This is definitely bullshit, I have never had any and I mean any problems
with noscript.
Matter of fact, noscript has blocked a lot of stuff even when I had
malwaresoft winblows 8.
Which is saying a lot.
ps, Noscript is free software which is a good jump above open source. aka
better.
This feels too biased for me. Sometimes people do after all, try to save face
by showing faultly information. I could be wrong of course, but yeah... don't
trust it myself.

Thanks.
You can try Freenix (used to be FreeSlack) if you want a libre-sytem and

Yes, that did it. DVD is detected, is bootable and the desktop (X) works. I
