Damn, I'm screwed. so nothing to do right now? except for format and install.
:-(
I’m happy using the Trisquel wallpapers for my Parabola system, thanks to
the artowrks here anyway. :)
Yes it was because of electric work being done on my apartment building. They
were replacing the electric meters. It's back now.
Anyway, not just specifically "the linux libre kernel" but the latest
version: 4.16. Because it's the one with the deblobbing changes. And again,
no promises. It'
I usually install the Linux Libre Kernel using the instructions on this link:

The site appears down... :/
The file I proposed to remove is .Xauthority and not .Authority but I believe
you removed the correct files (otherwise you would have got an error message
like "rm: cannot remove '.Authority': No such file or directory"). Other
users on the Web suggest to remove ~/.Xresources.
If that does
You need to either create ~/.config/redshift.conf, or if you already have it,
edit it to use the geoclue location provider. I found this page which
suggests a template for that file, if you don't have one already:

So here's what actually worked. I changed
fsck /dev/mapper/ubuntu--vg-root
to
fsck /dev/mapper/trisquel--vg-root
And I got my system back.
It's not your fault for being a noob, a warning regarding this issue should
probably be added to the release-upgrade script. This situation doesn't
affect fresh installs but it probably happens to most people who were using
the standard desktop session with Trisquel 7.
Besides that, the lig
OMG, I didn't even see that menu there. I feel like such a noob, LOL.
Thanks for your help and quick reply.
Hi! For your description of the issue, I think your system may be starting in
the wrong desktop session.
You can switch to the default Trisquel session (which is now based in Mate)
choosing it from the menu that appears at the login screen to the right of
the "user name" field. If my guess

Thanks. I do have a usb thingy. It's just rather slow. I am having trouble
finding Libre Dual-Channel WiFi thingy.
I'll try the Linux Libre kernel. I haven't added that one yet.
Thank you Banana!
I run that command but everything stays as it was = (
And the journal logs keep saying the same things.
By the way, I thought this ~./Authority file would recreate after a reboot,
but I did reboot the computer and cannot find it.
Please let me know if there is anything el
Unetbootin has an option to make a persistent file. Skype is proprietary, so
you won't get help here, I'm afraid.

Good evening,
I am from Greece, how it is possible to I make "persistent" USB 57.7G from
Windows 8.1 64 bit?(FAT, eFAT, NTFS)?
I try with "Universal-USB-Installer-1.9.8.0" who accept persistent mode like
for "linuxmint-18.3-cinnamon-64bit" but is not persistent boot . Exist other

I installed blueman. There's no Bluetooth Manager in Trisquel 8 MATE by
default. Bluez stack is installed and so is gnome-bluetooth but bluez-tools
are not. There's a Bluetooth Transfer files app installed. Control Center -->
Main Menu --> Accessories --> Tick Bluetooth Transfer.

Oh, with that one? Probably nothing. You could try a newer kernel
(specifically: the 4.16 series), which I mention only because there are some
deblobbing changes that can in some cases let things work without the
firmware being uploaded from the kernel (it has worked w
Hello,
I installed Trisquel 8 and so far I really like it, but I do not understand
where the bluetooth app is, or how to install it.
Works well. Looks good.
Who knows? They want to have control over the user and at the same time give
those open source folks a lip service.
OK. Why would they provide source code but then not allow it to be free
software?
In a few certain desktops the trisquel.info website is mostly inaccessible
somewhy, the room manager of these desktops knows nothing to Trisquel
GNU/Linux-libre even the whole free software world.
It is not free software (the text you may have not read before clicking "I
agree").
On LXQt+kwin in another rolling GNU system, Parabola, using the cool hue of
the Flidas wallpapers, just looks cool.
Yep it was out yesterday. All good now, carry on.
You can customize the look a fair bit, MATE and the old Gnome interface from
T7 are both great setups.
In /usr/share/backgrounds (if I understood your question).
It's already installed. I have BCM4360 (Macbook Air 2015), which doesn't
work.
The feature I like most about Unity is the Apple Spotlight-like search. I was
able to get that functionality by installing Synapse. For the App dock, I
used to use Plank or Docky.
I didn't mention that I already installed OpenFWWF and is seems to not
activate my internal WiFi.
I have the BCM43224... I'm eager to hear what other options you know of.
Please tell.
It has had interruptions once in a while since the release of T8 final. So,
it's not just you. I guess they are maintenance related outages.

When I visited Trisquel site sometime back, I saw some drupal related error
