I do not use the default /etc/default/grub and and do not have that message
when I run 'sudo update-grub'. Apparently your /etc/default/grub has
GRUB_TIMEOUT set to a non-zero value when GRUB_HIDDEN_TIMEOUT is set is no
longer supported... like the message says.
